Horl 1993 GmbH

HORL 1993 GmbH – Family Manufacturer from the Black Forest

HORL 1993 GmbH, a family manufacturer from the Black Forest, stands for innovative and precise knife sharpening technology from Germany. In 2016, the company was founded by father and son, Otmar and Timo Horl, in Freiburg im Breisgau. Their vision: to revolutionize knife sharpening. The idea, as simple as it is ingenious – a magnetic base, a bevelled wooden block with a metal plate, allows for secure knife fixation during sharpening and guarantees a constant sharpening angle. Now, the knife is not drawn along the sharpening stone, but rather the "Horl" with its diamond sharpening disc or ceramic honing side is moved along the knife. This makes knife sharpening child's play – no wonder the products of Horl 1993 GmbH are so successful.

Precision and Attention to Detail

However, the products of Horl 1993 GmbH, all manufactured in Germany, are characterized not only by their ease of use, but also by high-quality materials such as stainless steel and regional wood from the Black Forest, and precisely by their excellent sharpening results. HORL sharpening devices are ideal for anyone who wants to sharpen their knives to the highest standard, whether in the home kitchen or a professional environment. Try it out!
